Supported Authentication methods:

 ACE supports following methods, with which ACE shall connect and scan the target machines.

  • AWS SSM
  • Windows
    • Local ID and password with admin privileges (read only)
    • Domain ID and password with admin privileges (read only)
  • Linux
    • Certificate based.
    • ID and Password with sudo privileges (with no password prompt for sudo command execution)
  • Database
    • Database credentials: database ID and password

Passwords / Credential encryption

Passwords / Credentials and certificates are only saved in ACE Endpoint and they are encrypted with AES 256 encryption standard. This data is never transmitted or stored on ControlCase end.
